Luna Park Weddings
I like a good wedding in town for many reasons, and it’s no better than a Kittyhawk. Luna Park Weddingsis a Parisian 1944 Liberation-style cocktail bar and French restaurant – think of dark panelling, burnt copper fixtures and medieval elegance, no style needed here. As expected, both their food and cocktail are off the charts, and they can both eat and dine for cocktail style. Have a ceremony in the Botanical Garden (within walking distance) or nearby if you want it all in one (beautiful) place.
- Vibe – Mooned cocktail sophistication
- Capacity – up to 175 for a cocktail reception, seating 64 – 96 people depending on entertainment/dancefloor requirements.

Pier One Sydney Harbour
Located in the Royal Botanic Gardens’ quiet little pocket, Pier One Sydney Harbouris a stunning Victorian sandstone building with a private landscaping garden overseeing the charming atmosphere of the weather and the courtyard. Even though it’s in the middle of the park, it still has a private entrance, and it’s secluded enough that you won’t feel at the show. The residence has a large garden for children or your friends and family to walk around with wine in hand in the afternoon sun, and the back area is perfect for long tables or dancefloors. Also, all the beauty of the garden is literally. They also include you in their catering and wine, which is a considerable amount.

It’s gorgeous and has its charm, but the Cell Block Theatre – the wing of the older women’s prison that was dilapidated and cultured to serve as a theatre – is also enough for any space you like.

The Miramare Gardenswas redesigned a few years ago, winning many design awards, and that’s why it was so simple. Yes, it has a big chunk of a finger, but it retains a sense of warmth and personality and style. From the almost electric neon church to the option of an on-site ceremony, the warm panelling and lighting that makes it the main reception room, it seems as intimate as possible that everything is designed with purpose and nature.
